Victory World Church

The Challenge

Despite the economics of the area and its location, Victory World Church (VWC) was a growing multicultural church in a low income area. Because their location was centered in a commercial and industrial corridor northeast of Atlanta, there were very few land options for a church campus of its size.

Process

CCL partnered with VWC and helped negotiate the purchase of approximately 21.5 acres (utilizing 14) from a prominent Atlanta commercial land owner. Additionally, CCL master-planned three (3) phases of growth, allowing VWC to buy an adjacent industrial park for future youth and school Ministries. A summary of the phasing:

Phase I
  • 1,400-seat Sanctuary
  • Children's Classrooms with Indoor playground
  • Multi-purpose room for conferences
  • Administrative Offices
Phase II - Architect: Lyman Davidson Dooley, Inc.
  • Christian School (Kindergarten through 4th grade); rooms dually used for Sunday morning use.
  • Multi-purpose room for School Cafeteria and Sunday morning Worship overflow with simulcast
Phase III - Architect: Warner Summers Ditzel Benefield Ward & Associates
  • New 60,000 SF building with relocated and new staff offices.
  • Includes permanent overflow and simulcast of Worship with 1,000 seat capacity.
  • Includes café with conference capabilities
  • Approximately 300 additional parking spaces.

The "Win"

VWC was able to acquire and strategically plan 14 acres in order to grow to be a church of over 4,500 in attendance. This growth has also allowed the church to develop their ministry into other areas, including the building of three (3) satellite churches around the Atlanta area and create support for mission teams in other countries.

CCL has helped our church complete numerous projects over the last nine years. Their expertise extends far beyond managing a project. They become familiar with the organization's vision and creative requirements to ensure each project succeeds. They have the ability to assemble a team of professions to complete the job in a timely fashion. This is all done with a high level of character and integrity.

CCL was instrumental in the successful completion of the Victory World Church Project. From the first meeting, they built the team of Owner, Architect & Contractor while we concentrated on building the project. David Gay in particular kept the team's focus on maintaining the schedule while requiring excellent work from the contractor. It was a pleasure working with CCL and being part of the team that produced a beautiful and successful project.
